We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of Adroit's clients, a global independent price reporting agency covering metals, mining, agriculture, forest products and energy transition markets.

You will join a globally distributed Agile software engineering team building the digital platform that serves the organisation’s commodity market customers, with a particular focus on search functionality built on GraphDB and Elastic Search.

You will work closely with product and business teams to design, build and maintain features on a .NET-based platform running on Microsoft Azure, while helping to raise the bar on engineering quality across the team.

• Design and implement technical solutions for new features and product enhancements.
• Adhere to sound software engineering design principles, including design patterns and SOLID code.
• Build scalable, flexible, resilient and secure solutions, and maintain existing software with the support of AI-assisted development tools.
• Write code that is well structured, clean, readable, testable and efficiently written.
• Carry out code reviews to maintain consistent engineering standards.
• Design and implement automated and manual tests, and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate actively in team meetings and stand-ups.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers and business analysts to resolve technical issues.

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#, with a solid understanding of concurrent programming.
• Strong hands-on experience with GraphDB and Elastic Search.
• Good understanding of OOP, concurrency, distributed systems and cloud computing.
• Experience with unit testing, CI/CD and test automation.
• Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Service Bus.
• Experience with distributed systems, REST and service-oriented architecture.
• Comfort using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
