We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team at one of Adroit's clients, a global independent price reporting agency covering metals, mining, agriculture, forest products and energy transition markets.

The organisation is investing significantly in its data and analytics capabilities, and this role will help build scalable data pipelines and transformations using a modern, Snowflake-based data stack.

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines from a wide variety of sources.
• Transform data using dbt across multiple layers (Cleansed, Conformed, Presentation).
• Write custom connectors in Python and leverage data-loading tools to bring data into the platform.
• Implement automated data quality checks and alerting.
• Orchestrate pipelines using Dagster.
• Manage CI/CD workflows via GitHub and Kubernetes.
• Implement RBAC policies in Snowflake.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
• Promote DataOps best practices across the team.

• Advanced SQL skills across multiple platforms; hands-on Snowflake experience is essential.
• Proficiency with dbt and Jinja templating.
• Experience with ELT/ETL tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte.
• Python experience for data pipelines, including Pandas and GreatExpectations.
• Experience with orchestration platforms such as Dagster, Airflow or Prefect.
• Experience with API integration and JSON transformation.
• Git version control and CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Cloud services experience, Azure preferred.
• Understanding of data modelling approaches such as 3NF, Star Schema, Kimball or Inmon.

• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Snowflake Cortex AI.
• Event streaming technologies.
• CRM or marketing platform exposure.
• A degree in a related technology field, or 3+ years in a similar role with relevant certifications; SnowPro certification is a nice-to-have.
